Jay-Z & Nas Dropping A Duet Album?

b

Rumors continue to swirl about Jay-Z’s still-unconfirmed new record label, Carter Music Group. We hear that Jay is partnering with rapper Nas on an album of duets, “The Kings of Hip Hop,” to be released on the label early next year. Jay’s rep is keeping tight-lipped.

Thoughts on this rumor? A few track together is hot, but a whole album?

the new gen of listeners will prolly not be impressed…with all the bs hip hop these days..

this album would prolly be better appreciated by their core fans….. which i definitely am.

If it happens, it’ll flop just like the Jay-Z/R Kelly duet.
Yeah they had a few hits, but a whole album was pushing it…
… and this might have the same outcome

Okay, this is some crazy shit right here. I was just about to post in the DJ Khalil- Nas topic about Nas and Jay should do an album together and forget about who was better. Two minutes later, I see this topic

“oh my god this shit would be legendary

i mean chances are they wont do it but if they did, it would be an automatic classic..maybe back to some real hip hop for once

im keepin my fingers crossed”

How are you guys even doubting

COMPARING JAYZ AND KELLS TO JAYZ AND ESCO?

It would be insta-classic

both of thier collabos was garbage and nobody wants to hear these old niggas rapping

The best mcs of all time it would be legendary if they dropped a duet album.

If there is any truth to this, then this collabo has a potential to be an undeniable classic!

If Nas and Jigga actually put a lot of thought, time, and effort into this thing, it might very well turn out to be one amazing collabo CD, and will pretty much solidify their status as 2 of the greatest to ever touch the mic. It’s an enormous opportunity for both of them to shine. No joke. Let’s just hope they do it right!

Oh, and fuck everyone who equates sale numbers with quality, that’s just plain stupid. Good music is good music, and people will appreciate it no matter how many units were sold. Real Talk.

and “King of Southside” has pretty much just exposed his age

I was feelin Jay & Kells album. If I remember correctly, it no was video or anything and the shit still sold over a million. But like most have said, this would be different. I dont know about all this premature classic talk. Jay aint the same Jay from when niggas was in Highschool. Jay-z was different about 200 million ago lol.

i think they have two different visions.

or…approaches

so a whole album would be like a tug of war. i dont see a complement between them in an album.

i like both. but not really on the same tracks.

this album would be one of the biggest classics of time. that being said, with all they have both accomplished, they should retire from rappin and let some of the young spitters (the real spitters, none of that stupid bullshit) come through and ACTUALLY RELEASE ALBUMS, cause i couldnt imagine a way to follow that up. if it ever actually happens

“they should retire from rappin and let some of the young spitters come through”-Killa “B”itch

wtf like who Fab trash ass, or maybe Cass trash ass, how about Juelz Santana, or Lloyd Banks????

NOT ONE OF THESE YOUNG DUMB FUCKS MASTERED THEIR CRAFT!(not 1) this is why I’m all in favor of the vets staying in the game cause the’ve masterd HOW to rap not spewed a whole bunch of sub-par punchlines with boring flows(example Fab)

This album would be Crazy hot

what i have been saying for years. if the big mcs in the east put their egos a side, i’m sorry down south and west coast its over.

It’d be better if it was Jay-Z/Nas & AZ collabin’ together.
