Should Lebron James’s Relationship With Jay-Z Worry The Cavs?

LeBron James

FULL STORY

Interesting read on Yahoo sports about LBJ and Jay-Z’s relationship. Would LeBron leave Cleveland and join the Brooklyn Nets? I wouldn’t be surprised.

Twisted - Nu Jerzey Devil, Stack$, featuring Jason Derulo

A Review Of The Notorious B.I.G. Movie Screenplay

It opens with his murder and funeral, then doubles back to his Brooklyn childhood. We get a few scenes of Biggie at home, in the classroom, and on the corner dealing crack; there are some rap posters in his bedroom, and we see him fill a rhyme book during a nine-month prison sentence, but there’s no real explanation given for how he went from enthusiastic fan to one of hip-hop’s all-time most revered emcees. Nevertheless, by page 30, he’s signed to Puffy’s label, and from there it’s a mad, tensionless dash to the end of his biography, with all emerging conflicts — his mom’s breast cancer, baby-mama drama, various love triangles (Biggie, Faith Evans, Lil’ Kim; Biggie, Evans, Tupac) — resolved within a scene or two.

Snopp Dogg ft. Too $hort - Life of Da Party

Tha Boss Dogg titled the album “Ego Trippin’” because this time around, he is doing just that. After 16 years in the game, Snoop consistently proves himself as not only an entertainer, but a pioneer in hip hop. On Snoop’s ninth studio offering, the West Coast rapper is taking chances no other rap artist could pull off, and showing fans a new side we have never seen before. “Ego Trippin’” showcases groundbreaking material and if the first single is any indication - fans will embrace the new sounds. Snoop says, “I named the album Ego Trippin’ because after staying relevant for 16 years, I can afford to take chances and have some fun. I always made music to win in my neighborhood but after all these years I needed to do something bigger - I had to get out of my usual gangster zone without losing who I am, this time around I am going to win worldwide.”

‘Throughout the album, Snoop takes listeners on a musical journey - from funk to eighties vibes to even country music. Forever a fan of Teddy Riley, Snoop was excited to be able to collaborate with the musical genius on this album. Throughout the recording process, they had such great chemistry in the studio that QDT Muzic was birthed - an entity comprised of DJ Quik, Snoop and Teddy that is responsible for overseeing the entire album. Snoop came up with the song concepts, Teddy added his touches to the production and Quik mastered the album. Ego Trippin’ marks the first time since “Doggystyle,” Snoop’s first album, that one individual mastered the entire package - adding a continuity to the sounds that play more like a movie instead of a music recording.

Thematically on Ego Trippin’, Snoop is paying tribute to those who inspired him over the years. The musically rich song “Cool” is an interpolation of the classic song originally recorded by The Time. On it, Snoop sings more than raps and the results are phenomenal. It is a song made to dance to and will transport listeners to the eighties with one listen. Another surprise song is entitled “Johnny Cash” and was written and produced by Whitey Ford. The song is a country love ballad and is unlike anything anyone has ever heard from a hip hop superstar. One of Snoop’s album favorites is “Say Goodbye,” featuring R&B great Charlie Wilson of The Gap Band. Snoop says, “This song makes me want to cry every time I hear it. It is a reflection of my life and how I have grown as not only an artist but also a man - it is about me staying true to where I came from while having to accept where I am in my life today, it’s deep.”

As if Snoop were not busy enough, he is also experiencing major success on the small screen with his E! reality show “Snoop Dogg’s Father Hood.” The show takes viewers into the life of Snoop and his family, comprised of his wife and three kids, to prove he is really a down to earth family man. The show can be seen on Sundays at 10:30pm on E! Networks

Lil Wayne Sounds Shook Of 50 Cent

“That n—a’s crazy, Wayne laughed. “I ain’t f—ing with 50. He’s too high up there. That’s my n—a, though. I respect that my name even came out the homie’s mouth. I just took it as a compliment. I would never go back at 50; he’s a trillionaire. I’m trying to get there, homie. I’m smart. I ain’t dumb.

Brooklyn-based activist Filing A 5 Billion Dollar Lawsuit Against Barclays Bank, Bruce Ratner & Jay-Z

In the claim, Mr. Campbell said that Mr. Ratner and Jay-Z worked “in concert” with Barclays, and “profited from the African Slave Trade and continue to profit from these gains, through a conspiracy dating back hundreds of years and continue to date to oppress Black people, enslave them, unlawfully deport them to all corners of the Earth.”

Source: Observer

People still think about getting slavery reparations? It’s not going to happen and even if it did how would money be dispersed with not every black person having ancestors from here? How would you even determine the appropriate amount to be given per person? This sounds like a waste of time.

No will give you 40 acres and a mule, you have to go out there and get it yourself.

The article made a correction, DJ Kool Herc is not the one filing the lawsuit, lol something sounded wrong.

Jay-Z & Nas Dropping A Duet Album?

b

Rumors continue to swirl about Jay-Z’s still-unconfirmed new record label, Carter Music Group. We hear that Jay is partnering with rapper Nas on an album of duets, “The Kings of Hip Hop,” to be released on the label early next year. Jay’s rep is keeping tight-lipped.

Thoughts on this rumor? A few track together is hot, but a whole album?
